Cox Communications President Patrick J. Esser to Take Center Stage At GLOBALCOMM 2006; Attendees to Gain Insight into Industry Complexities from One of the Nation's Largest Cable Providers.

With more than 25 years of telecommunications industry experience, Esser has held a multitude of responsibilities while at Cox. He joined the company in 1979 as director of programming for the system in Hampton Roads, Va., and in 1981 was part of the original management team that pioneered Cox's local advertising sales division, CableRep Advertising (now Cox Media).

Esser's numerous accomplishments have been recognized throughout the industry. He is a recipient of the Cable Television Advertising Bureau President's Award, recognizing his significant contributions to the growth of cable advertising sales. He serves as chair of the board of directors for the Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing Educational Foundation, and sits on the boards of the National Cable & Telecommunications Association, C-SPAN, CableLabs and Cable in the Classroom. Additionally, he is a member of the Cable Television Public Affairs Association Board of Advisors.
