Cox Communications Presents: ``A Salute to Teachers'' in Cooperation with the San Diego County Office of Education.

Who Will Become a San Diego County Teacher of the Year?

WHAT:     It's the only show of its kind anywhere in the nation! From
          a field of 26,000 public school teachers, and 38 nominees
          representing 27 school districts, four San Diego educators
          will be named a San Diego County Teacher of the Year during
          the 14th annual "Cox Presents: A Salute To Teachers." This
          Academy Awards-style television special will air LIVE from
          the Civic Theatre on Channel 4 San Diego.

WHEN:     7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004

          Rehearsals will be held Friday, Oct. 8 from 2:30-5:30 p.m.,
          and Saturday, Oct. 9 from 12:15-3 p.m. at the Civic Theatre
          in downtown San Diego. Find out what happens behind the
          scenes as nominees, entertainers and celebrity presenters
          get ready for one of San Diego's biggest nights!

          The new San Diego County Teachers of the Year will be
          available for interviews beginning Monday, Oct. 11.
