Cox Communications Deploys A3 Modeling for Enterprise Budgeting on the Web; Spreadsheet Management Application from A3 Saves Time and Money.

Business Editors

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 7, 2003

A3 Solutions announced today that Cox Communications completed a rollout of A3 Modeling(TM) for enterprise budgeting, forecasting and management reporting. The project was completed two weeks ahead of schedule and under budget.

Self-sufficient after just three days of training, Cox financial analysts leveraged A3 Modeling to automate a complete set of financial models over the Web. Featuring a user-friendly spreadsheet interface, A3 Modeling rolled-out quickly and without disruption. And now, users are observing faster response times and productivity gains.

Cox CFO See Chief Financial Officer.  Jimmy Hayes comments, "A3 Modeling represents a significant next step as Cox continues to evolve its planning processes. This software is a critical link between the driver-based analytical activity happening on desktops and various reporting sources in the enterprise."

Cox selected A3's leading Spreadsheet Management application to minimize adoption costs and avoid disruption since the product supports multiple OLAP cube environments.

"We wanted to get forecasting on the Web in a logical and incremental step. With A3 Modeling, we can now manage the broad deployment of our own spreadsheet based processes significantly faster and at a fraction of the cost," said Cox Director of Financial Systems Chad Browder. "End-users love their spreadsheets, and now teams are collaborating in real-time over the Web. Within one quarter of our initial decision, Cox is on the Web and self-sufficient with A3 Modeling."
