Cowdrey 'regretfully' at work; Racing people.

FORMER swashbuckling Kent cricketer Graham Cowdrey is, "regretfully", back in the office following his successful rehabilitation from the heart attack he suffered at the end of November.

Cowdrey, married to former top amateur rider Maxine (nee Juster), now assistant to Lady Herries, returned to his role as head of entertainment and charity for leading inter-dealer broker BGC last month.

Cowdrey said: "I managed to watch Cheltenham and returned to work the week after. Very sadly, I'm back and working a four-day week.

"I'll be in total action from mid-May but everything's pretty much back to normal now."

Cowdrey added that he had been given the all-clear by the doctors after months of watching daytime television.

"My dear wife Maxine is the happiest woman in the world now that I have recovered, and I have been out to watch her on the gallops before hitting the road to Canary Wharf.

"I feel fine and am glad I don't have to go back to the doctors for a year. The time was right for me to go back to work, and mentally I needed to. You can get too comfortable watching Murder She Wrote. Embarrassingly, I've joined a gym, but I'm already feeling a lot better."
