VOLKSWAGEN has unveiled the new Golf Plus that is due to go on sale next spring.

Based on the latest Golf, which went on sale recently, the Golf Plus has similar styling revisions as well as a number of new features.

These include automatic reverse parking and some new engines.

Visually, the newcomer differs from the previous model with a new grille grille, in architecture, a system of bars, usually of decorative metalwork, forming an openwork barrier or enclosure. In its usual materials of wrought iron or bronze, it has been favored for decorative treatment in all periods.  and headlights at the front, a lower body profile and integrated roof rails.

At the rear, there is a redesigned bumper and revised LED cherry red lights.

There is also a range of new wheel and tyre options, including 18-inch alloy wheels.

One petrol option will be a 1.4-litre 122bhp TSI TSI Total Solar Irradiance (sum solar light in energy per unit of time)
TSI Trading Standards Institute (UK)
TSI Transportation Safety Institute (US DOT) 
 engine with 125mph performance, 45mpg economy and a CO figure of 146g/km. Turbo-diesel engines will be available with outputs between 90bhp and 140bhp. The 2.0-litre TDI TDI - Transport Driver Interface  140 has a top speed of 127mph, with a CO figure of 135g/km and 55mpg economy.

ParkAssist will be offered, which has the ability to operate the steering automatically during reverse parallel parking manoeuvres. A rear-view camera will also be available as an option.

Prices will be announced closer to the on-sale date.
