SIP Security and Management Software is Compatible with Key Avaya IP Telephony Solutions

MAYNARD, Mass. -- Covergence, a leader in scaling, securing and controlling Internet Protocol (IP) telephony and other real-time services based on the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), today announced that its Eclipse[TM] Session Manager is compliant with key IP telephony solutions from Avaya (NYSE:AV), a leading global provider of business communications applications, systems and services.

Covergence's Eclipse helps businesses secure, control, monitor and scale access to IP telephony and other services based on SIP. The application now is compliance-tested by Avaya for compatibility with Avaya Communication Manager release 3.1.2 and Avaya SIP Enablement Services 3.1. Avaya Communication Manager is an industry-leading IP telephony application, while Avaya SIP Enablement Services bridge the public switched telephone network and Internet worlds by providing a standards-based architecture for telephony, instant messaging and other enterprise communications.
