Cover-up claim by G20 death family; IN BRIEF.


THE family of Ian Tomlinson accused police of a coverup to stop them finding out the truth about his death during G20 protests.

His widow Julia and son Paul King said they felt under pressure from police and independent investigators not to speak out. But they said a decision to pass a file of evidence to the Crown Prosecution Service
The Crown Prosecution Service, or CPS, is a non-ministerial department of the Government of the United Kingdom responsible for public prosecutions of people charged with criminal offences in England and Wales.
 (CPS) earlier this week made them change their minds.

They said police tried to persuade them there was nothing suspicious about the death and handed them an edited version of the first post mortem [Latin, After death.] Pertaining to matters occurring after death. A term generally applied to an autopsy or examination of a corpse in order to ascertain the cause of death or to the inquisition for that purpose by the Coroner .  examination.
