Ms Bjerre succeeds Davina Lane, who was promoted to president and chief executive officer of Group Health Plan, Coventry's St. Louis-based managed care plan. Ms. Bjerre has more than 15 years of healthcare experience, most recently as president and chief executive officer of United HealthCare's 120,000-member Cleveland health plan. Prior to that she was Vice President of Delivery Systems Management at United and responsible for developing and implementing contract strategies across all markets.
