), a global consulting and technology services company, announced today the successful launch of completely redesigned Web sites for Citicorp Diners Club Diners Club International, originally founded as Diners Club, is a credit card company formed in 1950 by Frank X. McNamara, Ralph Schneider and Casey R. Taylor. When it first emerged, it became the first independent credit card company in the world.  International, Ltd. Covansys was tapped to implement core infrastructure changes designed to improve the experience of Web-based customers using the Diners Club U. S. (www.dinersclubus.com) and Canadian (www.dinersclubcanada.com) Web sites.

The new Java and XML-based architecture provides a highly dynamic Web presence that enables the Diners Club business users to publish content directly to the Web, target promotions to specific constituencies and manage customer touch-points through an e-mail management application.

Improved site navigation tools place corporate customers, personal card members and service establishments a click away from many key features, including:
- Ability to view online statements and billing payment

- Access to international travel and Travel Manager resources

- Access to customer service from anywhere on site

- Insight to special promotions and club reward offers


Diners Club currently serves more than 8 million card members worldwide and is issued in more countries than any other charge card today.

Covansys deployed its Web-to-Enterprise Integration (WEI(SM)) services within Diners Diners can mean:

In this multi-phase project, Covansys partnered with Diners Club to develop the business requirements and select third-party tools to address the core infrastructure requirements for the site, such as Web content management, personalization Custom tailoring information to the individual. On the Web, personalization means returning a page that has been customized for the user, taking into consideration that person's habits and preferences.  and email management. Covansys then defined the technical architecture, developed the site, and supported the implementation activities. Covansys used its flexible, offsite delivery model by establishing a local team in Colorado and performing all the development in its Denver branch office.
