FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. -- Covansys Corporation (NASDAQ:CVNS), a global consulting and technology services company, today announced a partnership with JBoss(R), Inc., the Professional Open Source company. As a Preferred JBoss Certified Systems Integrator, Covansys will offer application development to companies that build and deploy solutions on the JBoss Enterprise Middleware Suite (JEMS(TM)), an open source application platform that includes the JBoss Application Server, Hibernate(R), JBoss Portal, JBoss jBPM, JBoss Rules, JBoss Cache, JBoss Transactions and Apache Tomcat.

Covansys will provide consulting, migration and implementation services for the JEMS platform. Covansys will have access to JBoss migration tool kits and JBoss methodologies, which Covansys will combine with its own proven methodologies to offer clients quick and cost effective migration and implementation. Further, through this partnership, Covansys is tooling its global delivery centers to be fully equipped in providing the latest technologies and architectures based on JEMS products, which will contribute to increasing business value for clients.
