), a global consulting and technology services company, announced today the opening of an IBM (International Business Machines Corporation, Armonk, NY, www.ibm.com) The world's largest computer company. IBM's product lines include the S/390 mainframes (zSeries), AS/400 midrange business systems (iSeries), RS/6000 workstations and servers (pSeries), Intel-based servers (xSeries)  WebSphere Innovation Center (WIC WIC - WAN Interface Card ) at their headquarters in Farmington Hills, MI. The grand opening of the WIC marks another important milestone in Covansys' efforts to help companies move to IBM's next-generation e-business solutions.

"Covansys formed an alliance with IBM last year to offer our clients IBM's premiere software products, in addition to Covansys' e-business solutions services."

"Now, with the opening of our new WebSphere Innovation Center, we'll be able to provide our customers with end-to-end services in the application integration arena, added Clague. "This new facility will serve as a customer-centric showcase that will allow us to provide customers from all industry sectors with WebSphere software-based "test-drives" and reusable Frameworks."

The WIC will also be designed to provide a number of important sales and educational services for Covansys' end users, and will also provide proof-of-concept support and technical briefings.

The WebSphere Innovation Center will feature IBM's WebSphere(1) Internet infrastructure software, including WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere Portal Server (1) A network server that deploys portal services to a public Web site or internal intranet. See portal.
