), a global consulting and technology services company, today announced that they have completed phase I of a $3.9 million contract to implement a drinking water drinking water

supply of water available to animals for drinking supplied via nipples, in troughs, dams, ponds and larger natural water sources; an insufficient supply leads to dehydration; it can be the source of infection, e.g. leptospirosis, salmonellosis, or of poisoning, e.g.
 information system on behalf of the state of Washington Department of Health, Division of Drinking Water.

Currently in phase II of the project, the new system, called Sentry, is being designed to improve the state's ability to track drinking water supplies and distribution, thereby increasing the Division of Drinking Water's ability to prevent water contamination. Phase I implementation was completed on May 31, 2002. Sentry is a Web-based application See Web application.  that enhances the state's ability to track every registered drinking water supply in Washington with an easy-to-use interface. It also increases efficiency, saving time and money due to faster reporting capabilities - both predefined and ad-hoc - of each water system's water sample lab test results.

Sentry was built using HTML/ASP/XML/XSLT, VB/COM+, SQL Server An earlier relational DBMS from Sybase and from Microsoft. Sybase introduced SQL Server in 1988 for various Unix versions.
