As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 74,764; the 2006 population recorded by the U.S. Census Bureau was 86,396. , real estate investors Bill Weisman and Dan Mandel. Brad Cous Golf Venture is a 50/50 partnership between Cousins Properties and W.C. Bradley Co. The Shops at World Golf Village were completed by the venture in 1999, and the current tenant roster includes Caddyshack, The First Tee, Augustino's Italian Steakhouse, Levitt & Sons, and PGA Tour The PGA Tour is an organization that operates the USA's main professional golf tours. It is headquartered in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, USA. Its name is officially rendered in all caps as “PGA TOUR".  Stop, and Bluegreen Resorts is expected to open soon. Nearby attractions include the World Golf Hall of Fame, St. Johns County Convention Center and The Slammer A worm that caused a billion dollars worth of damage on the Internet on January 25, 2003.
