Cousino & Newsom.

Annie Caroline Cousino of Leland and Casey Blake Newsom of Rolling Fork were united in marriage at six o'clock in the evening on Saturday, July 29, 2006. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by Rev. Milton Whatley and Pastor Millard Lee Caulder in the sanctuary of the Leland United Methodist Church.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Alonzo Cousino of Leland. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Victor Leo Ayres of Leland and the late Mr. Ayres, and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Henry Cousino of Bristol, Vermont.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Ennis Newsom of Rolling Fork. He is the grandson of Mrs. Ennis Edward Newsom of Glen Allan and the late Mr. Newsom, and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lyndean Brister of Vicksburg, and Mr. Robert Coleman of Avon.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a formal gown of silk taffeta designed by Allure Bridal featuring a strapless neckline and fitted bodice, both adorned with Swarovski crystals, rhinestones, and bugle beads. The dropped waistline attached to a full skirt, enhanced with bustles gathered with appliques. The chapel-length train was adorned with bustles gathered with appliques. Her veil complemented the bridal gown.

Serving the bride as maid of honor was Andrea Brynn Burns. Bridesmaids were Elizabeth Ayres O'Brien, Nicole Marie Lefebvre, Katherine Brooke Newsom, and Gwendolyn Christene Short. The attendants wore strapless, A-line gowns by Morilee in Victorian Sky taffeta.

Serving as flower girl was Sarah Frances O'Brien. Connor Newsom Stevens was the ring bearer.

William Ennis Newsom served his son as best man. Groomsmen were Jeremy Michael Alford, Joshua Mills McNeill, Nicholas Aaron Secoy, and Jordan David Trotter. Ushers were David Gerry Cousino, Richard Ayres Cousino, and William Stanley Ayres Jr.

Program attendant was Samantha Vogt, and the bride's assistant was Carlie Griffin. Mr. and Mrs. Delton Burns assisted the wedding party.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Deer Creek Town and Racquet Club, where guests were greeted by Mr. and Mrs. Guy O'Reilly. The wedding cake was showcased on a white wooden plateau embellished with garden flowers. Summer fruit tarts were served from the groom's table. White canvas tents were positioned outside the bar door for wedding guests to enjoy the music provided by The Earth Angels of Jackson. Flower petal girls were Mary Randal Henson, Ella Joyce Poston, and Allison Sluder.

The groom's parents entertained on the eve of the wedding with a rehearsal dinner at the Refuge Hunting Lodge in Greenville.

Casey and Caroline honeymooned in Wears Valley, Tennessee, and are at home in Lubbock, Texas, where the groom is employed with Samuel Jackson, Inc.
