online service that is targeted to law firm marketing professionals and
litigators who need a profile of client's or prospect's
litigation history. The service can help identify emerging litigation
trends or flag emerging risk, based on the nature of suits being filed
in federal court. Law firms can also identify what practice areas are on
the increase within a U.S. District Court by analyzing geographic
litigation trends. LexisNexis said that litigators can use the service
to force better settlements and win more cases by helping them gain
insight into the other parties in the case, history and pattern of
settlements, mediations or motions to dismiss from similar proceedings.
