RE DEMOLITION of Courtaulds, Little Heath. (Your Space, August 24) I worked as an electrician for 40 years, serving four years in the RAF.

I worked in the four-storey building where the stench was unbearable.

I also worked in the five-storey one and then in the processing depot under the management of Mr E Knowles.

I was a member of the fire service under F Arrow Smith.

I have in my possession an old photograph dated 1955 of Little Heath Works Council, showing a number of management and staff.
