I worked in the four-storey building where the stench was unbearable. I also worked in the five-storey one and then in the processing depot under the management of Mr E Knowles. I was a member of the fire service under F Arrow Smith. I have in my possession an old photograph dated 1955 of Little Heath Works Council Noun 1. works council - (chiefly Brit) a council representing employer and employees of a plant or business to discuss working conditions etc; also: a committee representing the workers elected to negotiate with management about grievances and wages etc , showing a number of management and staff.
