Court hears antitrust arguments opposing FNN-CNBC merger

 & Co. appealed the decision, saying it was unfair for Conrad to accept the bid after a court "auction" ended May 7.

Meanwhile, the attorneys general of Illinois and Pennsylvania have each filed antitrust suits in Conrad's court, alleging that the deal with CNBC violates federal laws on competition. It is arguments from those two suits that are to be addressed at the May 20 hearing.

Dow Jones/Group W also has filed an antitrust suit in U.S. District Court.
