Court date over 'bomb hoax'.


A MAN who is accused of a bomb hoax at a St Helens factory has appeared at court.

Jean Rubagire, 35, is alleged to have held employees prisoner during a stand-off at metal analyst company Alfred Knight.

Police were called to the factory, off Prescot Road, on March 5, and a lengthy siege took place.

Rubagire, of no fixed abode One's home; habitation; place of dwelling; or residence. Ordinarily means "domicile." Living place impermanent in character. The place where a person dwells. Residence of a legal voter. Fixed place of residence for the time being. , is charged with making threats to kill, making a bomb hoax and false imprisonment false imprisonment, complete restraint upon a person's liberty of movement without legal justification. Actual physical contact is not necessary; a show of authority or a threat of force is sufficient. The person falsely imprisoned may sue the offender for damages. .

He had been due to enter a plea to the charges at Liverpool Crown Court, but the hearing was adjourned due to problems with legal r epresentation.

He will be back before the court on August 6.
