The special will feature highlights of the most recent trial, reaction to the verdict, the history of Kevorkian's mission to legalize assisted suicide, critical issues raised by his unorthodox views, and interviews with the key players and family members over the years. On Friday, March 26, Kevorkian was found guilty of second-degree murder in September 1998 death of Thomas Youk. Court TV's documentary will feature footage of interviews with Youk's widow, Melody; his brother, Terry; former Kevorkian attorney, Geoffrey Feiger; and Marianne Potter, the hospice nurse for Youk, who claimed that in his last days of life, Youk did not want to die. It will also include footage of previous victims prior to their Kevorkian-assisted deaths over the past 10 years; interviews with victims' family members; and photographs of Kevorkian's own paintings depicting images of death.
