In its ruling on July 18, the Court found that Bausch & Lomb has made a prima facie case prima facie case n. a plaintiff's lawsuit or a criminal charge which appears at first blush to be "open and shut." (See: prima facie)  for infringement of the patent and has ordered that the case proceed. Bausch & Lomb remains confident that it will prevail and looks forward to an early resolution of the lawsuit.
