Court's ruling is perverse.

Byline: Maureen Messent

A PAKISTANI judge has, against all sense, ruled that 12-year-old Molly Campbell be returned to her mother and step-father in Scotland.

This little soul, you may remember, ran off to Pakistan to stay with her father and siblings siblings npl (formal) → frères et sœurs mpl (de mêmes parents) .

Her parents divorced but Molly, who prefers to be known as Misbeh Rana, says she loathes Stornoway and wishes to grow up in Pakistan in the Muslim faith. She's old enough to be allowed to follow her heart. Especially as this week her step-father appeared in court in Stornoway for locking up Misbeh's mother and her new baby and shouting and swearing swearing, in law: see oath. .
