The American Red Cross's revised lifeguarding program features lifeguard training courses for different types of aquatic facilities and tools to assist with managing and recruiting lifeguards. The program features four stand-alone courses, making it easier for aquatic facilities to complete training at their own locations. Facilities can choose from the following courses: Lifeguarding, Waterfront Lifeguarding, Waterpark Lifeguarding and the Shallow Water Attendant course, ideal for facilities with shallow water attractions. A full line of new Lifeguarding program training materials is now available for all instructors and aquatic facilities with enhanced training materials for instructors, including a new instructor's manual with a CD-ROM and a new DVD set.
