Course to spruce up park land; WINSON GREEN.

CITY park rangers are invited to a course on improving urban land.

The Urban Parks course is being organised by Aston-based Environmental Trainers Network (ETN ETN Eaton Corporation (stock symbol)

) in Winson Green Winson Green is a loosely-defined area in the west of the city of Birmingham, England. It is part of the ward of Soho.

It is the location of HM Prison Birmingham (known locally as Winson Green Prison or "the Green") and City Hospital (formerly Dudley Road Hospital).

The course will give park managers and wardens advice on how to reinvigorate natural spaces for community use.

A spokesman for ETN said: "Many parks in Birmingham date from the 19th and early 20th centuries and either no longer meet the needs of the current generation or have suffered from years of neglect and under-investment.

"There is now growing interest in how to make urban parks valuable as education and community resources and also as 'green lungs' and significant wildlife habitats."

The event will include a review of recent research on the state of urban parks and how the way people use parks has changed.

The course takes place at the Centre of the Earth, in Norman Street Norman Street (Greek: Odos Norman), is a street in Patras and it runs one way westbound. The entire section is an old branch of the GR-9/E55 southbound and the GR-5 and the GR-48 (E65). , Winson Green, on April 25.
