The model moves Mercedes' twodoor coupe range upmarket by offering more room. It is longer, wider but lower than the CLK and has a 450-litre boot which is larger than the outgoing car. It is also the most aerodynamic road car in the world. The engine range comprises three petrol units: a 204bhp turbocharged 1.8-litre four-cylinder, a 292bhp 3.5-litre V6 and a 388bhp 5.5-litre V8. Two diesels will also be offered: a 204bhp twin-turbo 2.2 and a 231bhp 3.0-litre V6.
