County councillors 'not fit for purpose' VOICE OF THE NORTH.

IN the article (The Journal, September 22) about the proposed care complex, you say that Northumberland County Northumberland County is the name of several counties in Northern America:
  • In the United States
  • Northumberland County, Pennsylvania
  • Northumberland County, Virginia
Council is to launch negotiations aimed at finding a partner to develop an extra care housing complex on the Greenholme site in Haltwhistle.

This will never happen, they should have had something in place before they moved out the residents, some that were over 100 years and had been born and bred Born and Bred is a light-hearted British drama series that aired for four series on BBC One from 2002 to 2005. It was created by Chris Chibnall and Nigel McCrery. The cast was led by James Bolam and Michael French, who played a father and son who run a cottage hospital in  in Haltwhistle.

The design, they say, is similar to the Manors complex at Prudhoe. The county council applied for and got funding to build this one, but conveniently forgot to apply for funding to build at Haltwhistle.

I was also disgusted with our county councillor for Haltwhistle, Ian Hutchinson Ian Hutchinson (4 August 1948 – 19 September 2002) was an English footballer who spent most of his injury-plagued career with Chelsea.

Hutchinson was born in Derby and started his career with non-league Burton Albion before signing for Cambridge United.
, who along with Terry Robson, condemned Greenholme. I am afraid they are like what they said about Greenholme: not fit for purpose so it is time they moved out.
