Owen Edward Hughes (born: 1848 - died: 1932) was a former territorial level politician and Member of the Northwest Territories Legislative Assembly from 1885 until 1888.
 

THE future of education on Anglesey Anglesey or Anglesea (both: ăng`gəlsē), island and county (1985 est. pop. 68,800), 278 sq mi (719 sq km), NW Wales. Beaumaris is the chief town. It is a region of low, rolling hills.  will be considered by the council's executive next week.

The committee will look at the next steps in the reorganisation Noun 1. reorganisation - the imposition of a new organization; organizing differently (often involving extensive and drastic changes); "a committee was appointed to oversee the reorganization of the curriculum"; "top officials were forced out in the cabinet  of schools on the island following a public consultation.

There are currently 10 rural schools and five schools in Holyhead under threat of closure under the reorganisation programme.

Anglesey education committee has recommended that five of the rural schools with fewer than 30 pupils are looked at first by the executive committee.

On October 20, the executive can decide to continue with informal consultation or move to statutory consultation if the committee proposes specific options, which could include closures.

Alternatively if the council favours a scheme that could not be funded by their resources they can approach the Assembly Government for possible additional cash before moving to statutory consultation.
