County board approves 5-year plan.

The Lane County commissioners this week approved a five-year capital improvement program that reflects the possible loss of federal aid.

The program includes the deletion of many projects, reductions in matching funds Noun 1. matching funds - funds that will be supplied in an amount matching the funds available from other sources
cash in hand, finances, funds, monetary resource, pecuniary resource - assets in the form of money
 or contributions to other agency projects, termination of the county/city road partnership, elimination of funding in future years in an affordable housing program and termination of the community development and capital partnership programs, officials said.

Projects that will still be funded include the Bob Straub Parkway in Springfield; Prairie Road in Junction City Junction City, city (1990 pop. 20,604), seat of Geary co., NE Kans., at the confluence of the Republican and Smoky Hill rivers; inc. 1859. The rail, trade, and processing center of an agricultural and dairy area, it grew as the supply point for nearby Fort Riley, ; bridge projects on London Road London Road may refer to several hundred (at least) roads.
