Countrywide extensive Hajj training programmes underway.ISLAMABAD, October 25, 2009 (Balochistan Times): The Ministry of Religious Affairs has arranged countrywide extensive Hajj hajj (häj), the pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia, one of the five basic requirements (arkan or "pillars") of Islam. Extensive Hajj training programmes are being conducted
throughout the country to impart education to the pilgrims and make them
familiar with Hajj rituals to be performed during the upcoming Hajj,
said Joint Secretary (Hajj) Ministry of Religious Affairs Aftab-ul-Islam
Raja here. He said provincial governments are holding training sessions
in their respective areas to help specially those who are going to
perform this religious obligation for the first time. At the centres,
Aftab-ul-Islam Raja said training is being imparted with the help of
models, charts, maps, sketches, lectures, VCRs and television. The
intending Hajj pilgrims are taught that how to wear Ahram and observe
sanctity of the holy places besides performing rituals at Madina and
manners of offering prayers at Masjid-e-Nabvi and Salam at Roza-e-Rasool
(Peace Be Upon Him), he added. The Joint Secretary said the training,
informative booklets, Hajj literature are distributed among Hujjaj free
