Country stations top fort smith radio market.

The top three stations in the Fort Smith market are country formats, according to according to
prep.

The top station was KTCS-FM, 99.9, with a 10.1 percent share in the 12-year-old and higher demographic. KTCS KTCS Korean Society for Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery , owned by Big Chief Broadcasting Co., saw a 1 percent increase from a 10 percent share in the spring 2009 ratings.

Tied for second place were KOMS-FM, 107.3 "Big Country," and KMAG-FM, 99.1 "Continuous Hit Country," each with a 9.3 percent share. KOMS is owned by Cumulus Media Inc., and KMAG KMAG Korean Military Advisory Group
KMAG Korea Market Advisory Group (British Columbia Provincial Government, Canada) 
 is owned by Clear Channel Communications Not to be confused with clear channel radio stations, which are AM radio stations with certain technical parameters.
Clear Channel Communications (NYSE: CCU) is a media conglomerate company based in the United States.

KWHN-AM, 1320, a news talk format owned by Clear Channel, is the only AM station in the top 10.

On Feb. 1, the ABC affiliate, KHBS/ KHOG, Channels 40/29, said that it would begin producing a daily news, weather and sports update that would be broadcast on four Clear Channel stations in the Fort Smith market (KWHN-AM, KMAG-FM, KZZB-FM and KKBD-FM).
