Country Star Restaurants files registration statement for secondary offering.LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 31, 1995--Country Star Restaurants Inc. (NASDAQ Symbol CAFE) announced today that it had filed a registration statement for a proposed secondary offering. The filing contemplates an offering by the company of its Series A Convertible Preferred Stock for approximately $15 - $18 million of gross proceeds. The proposed offering will be underwritten on a firm commitment basis by Josephthal Lyon & Ross Inc. of New York City. The company currently owns and operates Country Star Hollywood, located adjacent to the entrance of the Universal Studios Hollywood theme park and the Universal CityWalk development in Los Angeles. The company is engaged in the business of developing, constructing, owning and operating country music, theme oriented restaurants. A registration statement relating to these securities has been filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission but has not yet become effective.
