MORE: "America Will Always Stand," the first TimeLife Music
CD release comprised of all new original material,
is inspired by the Civil War and was conceived by noted
Civil War historian, writer and director Ronald F.
Maxwell ("Gods & Generals," "Gettysburg"). The songs
were produced by Michael Curtis, with most of the tracks
written by Curtis and his writing partner Michael Pyle.
Tony Loiacono served as Executive Producer. "America
Will Always Stand" embraces the sound of country music,
with an emphasis on acoustic textures, intimate vocals and
melodies that stir strong currents of emotion. Each track
also touches on something deep in our national character.
Though the songs are about the Civil War, a time when our
nation was deeply divided, many of the CD's sentiments ring
true today, 140 years later. Artists included on the CD and
"YOUR COUNTRY YOUR VOTE" are: Randy Travis, Darryl Worley,
Lee Ann Womack, Ricky Skaggs, Blake Shelton, The Whites,
Collin Raye, Daron Norwood, Josh Turner, The Wilsons, Billy
Dean, Marty Raybon, Olivia Maxwell and The Michaels.
