Counterpane Announces Enterprise Protection Suite 2.0; Expansion of Leading Security Service Package Boosts Enterprise Protection from Web and Email Attacks.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. -- Counterpane Internet Security ''This article or section is being rewritten at

Internet security is the process of protecting data and privacy of devices connected to internet from information robbery, hacking, malware infection and unwanted software.
, Inc., the leading protector of networked information and the inventor of outsourced security monitoring, today announced availability of Enterprise Protection Suite 2.0, a new version of its industry-leading security services Security services are state institutions for the provision of intelligence, primarily of a strategic nature, but also including protective security intelligence. Examples include the Security Service (MI5) and the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) in the United Kingdom, and the  package that significantly enhances protection from Web and email-based attacks. New enhancements include considerably expanded email scanning services, as well as strengthened protection services to further shield Counterpane customers from Distributed Denial of Service Attacks (DDoS) at the network layer.

Enterprise Protection Suite 2.0 consolidates traditionally separate service functions, such as security monitoring, carrier-level protection, and email scanning, to provide a more unified view of disparate network activity. This provides a more robust defense against multiple points of network attacks, alleviates complexities in compliance reporting and reduces administrative overhead for customers.

New Partnership with MessageLabs

Counterpane has teamed with MessageLabs to seamlessly extend its Email Scanning services and proactively protect against spam, viruses, and other malware threats entering the enterprise network. These services improve IT management's ability to enforce email security policies pertaining to incoming image and text content. Enhanced protection from unwanted inbound messages and SPAM will further allow Counterpane customers to manage message traffic loads with greater efficiency and reduced demand for network bandwidth.

Boosted Protection from Distributed Denial of Service Attacks

Counterpane's enhanced carrier-side DDoS Prevention services proactively protect public Web sites against external attacks, up to multi-gigabit-per-second DDoS attacks regardless of the customer's primary carrier. The service "absorbs " attacks by filtering out malignant packets from inbound Web traffic and simultaneously delivering purified traffic back to service users. In addition, caching removes excess overhead that clutters most Internet circuits, thereby increasing the speed and overall performance of customer Web sites.

"Customers entrust Counterpane with their network security, because we see into hundreds of networks around the globe, track the migration of external threats and head them off before they penetrate customer networks," said Counterpane CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  Paul Stich STICH Cardiology A clinical trial–Surgical Treatment for IntraCerebral Hemorrhage . "This is a service model companies simply cannot duplicate in-house. Our e-mail scanning partnership with MessageLabs and sturdy DDoS Prevention package extends Counterpane's radius of protection and stops malicious attacks even closer to their origination points. Equally important, we're simplifying network security for our customers by providing a unified experience across security services from service delivery to regulatory compliance audits, rolled into a single monthly bill."
