KEVIN Manning continued his winning ways when partnering Count John to victory in yesterday's opener at Limerick.

Meanwhile, buoyed by Mad About You's win in the Gladness at the Curragh on Sunday, Dermot Weld hopes to aim last year's French Derby runner-up Famous Name at the Mooresbridge Stakes The Mooresbridge Stakes is a Group 3 flat horse race in the Republic of Ireland for four-year-old and above thoroughbreds. It is run over a distance of 1 mile and 2 furlongs (2,012 metres) at the Curragh in late April or early May.  at the Curragh on May 4.

And stable-companion Casual Conquest, placed in both the Vodafone Derby at Epsom and the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby, is on course to reappear in the coming weeks, with the Jockey Club Stakes The Jockey Club Stakes is a Group 2 flat horse race in the United Kingdom for four-year-old and above thoroughbreds. It is run over a distance of 1 mile and 4 furlongs (2,414 metres) at Newmarket's Rowley Mile course in late April or early May.  at Newmarket (May 3) a possible starting-point to a season which will be geared towards a crack at the Arc next October.

And good news concerning Matt O'Connor, who sustained serious head injuries in a fall at Thurles.

The young Wexford jockey has been weaned out of a medically induced coma, is off the ventilator and breathing on his own. And he has full movement of his upper and lower limbs.
