Coundon Court ........................ 13 The Woodlands .......................... 8

The East Stand has a capacity of 3000 and includes a number of conference and banqueting facilities. The West Stand is currently only a temporary structure holding 1000.  crowd, the Malcolm Cup Final was won by Coundon Court after an exciting and well fought match.

The game followed the well worn path of recent encounters between the two sides, as Coundon Court took a first-half lead only for Woodlands to spend the second half trying to catch up.

Credit should go to Coundon Court for defending well in the second half, keeping Woodlands at bay, for a well-earned victory.

The first half saw Coundon Court make an excellent start with winger Jeevan Dulai prominent.

As Woodlands defended, Court were awarded a penalty for George Deegan to slot over the 25m kick.

Court continued to maintain their pressure with good breaks again by Dulai, and Anton Campbell.

The pressure eventually told as on nine minutes Coundon Court had another penalty, again from 25m out, for Deegan to kick, making score 6-0 to Coundon Court.

Court continued to press and a good break by Michael Clamp came to nothing as a scoring pass to Dulai was ruled forward. Woodlands took full advantage after a break by Lewis Gregory, resulted in a penalty to Woodlands After 16 minutes Joe Kinnersley kicked this 25m penalty to make score 6-3.

Court fought back, deciding to run a penalty. The impressive Matthew Thrippleton made the initial break for centre Charlie Dent Charles "Charlie" Dent (born May 24, 1960 in Allentown, Pennsylvania) is a Republican Member of Congress, representing Pennsylvania's 15th congressional district (map), including the Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania.  to score by the posts on 17 minutes duly converted by Deegan to make score Coundon Court 13 The Woodlands 3.

yet Woodlands were now getting more into the game, running at all opportunities, with Adam Skyrme and Lewis Gregory prominent.

Eventually the pressure told as winger Myles Lynch scored an excellent unconverted try, making score 13-8 to Coundon Court..

It was now all Woodlands as they went for the winning score, but tremendous Court defending thwarted them. Despite six minutes of added time Court held out.

In the end a deserved win for Coundon Court for their first-half performance, coupled with their excellent defensive work in the second, also helped by their improving scrum and lineout work.
