ANGLESEY County Council leader Coun Phil Fowlie has pledged to continue improving performance across all services. Coun Fowlie was responding to the Wales Wales, Welsh Cymru, western peninsula and political division (principality) of Great Britain (1991 pop. 2,798,200), 8,016 sq mi (20,761 sq km), west of England; politically united with England since 1536. The capital is Cardiff. Local Government Data Unit's third annual bulletin, which looks at performance across a range of services in the 22 councils. Coun Fowlie said: "Anglesey has fared well in terms of its overall performance in this report, and we are successfully hitting our targets in several key areas, which is to be welcomed. "There are also areas, of course, where we can do much better, and I am committed to improving performance within this authority for the benefit of the people of Anglesey. "My fellow executive members are also very much focussed on performance management and, working with our officers, we are committed to improving services across the board."
