Council gives Swedes tour.


SOLIHULL Council has said "vlkomna" to three special visitors.

The council welcomed visitors from Vxj| in Sweden as part of a programme to build educational links between the two regions.

On a whistlestop tour of the borough, guests have visited Lode Heath School and Sports College Sports Colleges were introduced as part of the Specialist Schools Programme in the United Kingdom. The system enables secondary schools to specialise in certain fields, in this case, PE, sports and dance. , Knowle Church of England Church of England: see England, Church of.  Primary School and Langley Primary School.

They have sampled an English school lunch and enjoyed afternoon tea at the Mayor's Parlour.

The Nordic visitors also met with the council leader, chief executive and other education officers to discuss how to move the partnership forward.
