The Allard Motor Company was an English car manufacturer founded in 1936 by Sydney Allard. Way in Coventry have been welcomed by council leader Ken Taylor. The British Land The British Land Company PLC (LSE: BLND) is one of the largest property development and investment companies in the United Kingdom. It converted to a Real Estate Investment Trust when REITs were introduced in the United Kingdom in January 2007. Company has applied for planning consent to create a new headquarters for Marconi on the 67-acre site. Cllr Taylor (Con, Earlsdon) said: "Marconi is and has always been a key part of the economy of the city. "Whilst they have been through difficult times in recent years, we are very pleased that they have reaffirmed their commitment to the city. "We look forward to working with Marconi to ensure that we maximise the benefits to the local economy." If permission is granted, Marconi's 1,500-strong workforce would relocate re·lo·cate v. re·lo·cat·ed, re·lo·cat·ing, re·lo·cates v.tr. To move to or establish in a new place: relocated the business. v.intr. into the new buildings at the end of 2006 or beginning of 2007. |
