The CPA disbanded in 2000. , noted international gaming industry consultant and author, Monday announced the creation of a new service to be known as the Caribbean Sports Book Council Inc. Purpose of the CSBC is to function as an independent agency that sets and monitors standards of financial responsibility, legal structure and ethical service that international sports books located in the Caribbean must meet in order to qualify as CSBC Inc. Certified Sports Books.

The ultimate benefit to consumers, Dr. Riskin explains, is to help them determine where best to invest their money when wagering. This in turn will have a positive impact on the entire offshore sports wagering industry.
