 loves the outdoor life, which is why staff at Bridgend's Dogs Trust The Dogs Trust, formerly known as the National Canine Defence League, is an animal welfare charity and humane society in the United Kingdom which specialises in the wellbeing of dogs. The charity provides kennels for dogs which are abandoned or given up by their owners.  Rehoming Centre think life on a farm or small-holding would be perfect for him.

Spokeswoman Rhia Stankovic said: 'Podge, who can be described as a bit of a character and very independently minded, loves the outdoor life and he's not really a house pet. But he is house trained and would be happy to sleep in the kitchen/utility room at night.

'He gets on brilliantly with male and female dogs, loves his grub (hence the name), and is obsessed with toys - the only time he doesn't have a toy in his mouth is when he is eating.

'One thing's for sure, once you've met Podge you'll never forget him!'
