Could it be true? LETTERS to the EDITOR.IAN IAN Interactive Affiliate Network IAN i am nothing IAN Instrumentation & Automation News IAN Ianuarius (Latin: January) IAN Instituto Agronomico Nacional (Paraguay) IAN Incident Area Network MOORCROFT wonders why the young people he met believe in psychics and the "codswallop cods·wal·lop n. Chiefly British Slang Nonsense; rubbish. [Origin unknown.] codswallop Noun Brit, Austral & NZ slang " they dispense (Letters, July 20). Could it be that they have taken the trouble to test their claims and have decided that they are genuine? I am not young. I am 69 and have been fascinated by all aspects of the paranormal since my teens. I have consulted psychics/ astrologers/Tarot card readers/ palmists for decades and, like the young people you mention, have found most of them to be genuine. Most sceptics, like Mr Moorcroft, doubt everything - except their doubt! I advise Ian Moorcroft to open his mind. Neil Foster, St Helens |
