Ducks promote two

in athletic department

Mike Marlow and Chris Bjork, both associate athletic directors at Oregon, have been promoted within the department, athletic director Bill Moos announced Tuesday.

Marlow has been named senior associate athletic director for external affairs and will oversee the offices of hospitality services, marketing and promotions, media services and ticketing. He will be responsible for future football scheduling and administration of bowl trips and men's basketball postseason tournaments.

Bjork will relocate to Eugene and serve as the executive director for the Duck Athletic Fund. He will oversee the DAF offices in Eugene, Portland and Bend.

CORVALLIS - Oregon State's softball program will cap its Hall of Fame weekend activities with an alumni game Saturday at the OSU Softball Complex.

Five athletes from the Beavers' five AIAW AIAW Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women  World Series teams from 1977-81 - Taraleen Elliott-Stymer, Melinda Farm-Ameele, Lisa Hoogesteger, Denise Small and Colleen Henery - will play in the game, along with recent graduates Ingrid Lochelt, Amy Klever, Lisa Allen and Adrienne Alo.

Ducks 30th in women's cross country poll

Oregon's women's cross country team was ranked 30th in the preseason coaches poll, released this week.

The Ducks, who are back in action at the Bill Dellinger Invitational on Sept. 29 at Alton Baker Park Alton Baker Park is located in Eugene, Oregon, United States, near Autzen Stadium. It features duck ponds, bicycle trails, and a dog park, and directly touches the Ferry Street Bridge. , will face off with three teams ranked in the initial top 10 - No. 5 Brigham Young, No. 7 Duke and No. 8 Arkansas.

Keating falls in playoff
