Cotton Incorporated Debuts New Television Advertising Campaign with Agency of Record, DDB.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 13, 2004

Cotton Incorporated will debut its new television advertising campaign this week with the company's new agency of record, DDB DDB - device independent bitmap .

More than 100 different wardrobe selections appear in the spots - all made of cotton and cotton-rich fabrics. Viewers will be given an opportunity to identify specific wardrobe items by going to Cotton Incorporated's consumer Web site, TheFabricofOurLives.com, which will continue to operate under that name.

Movie theaters will also be used to air one of the commercials, "Floating Cotton," during the launch phase. In addition to the television ads, DDB is charged with developing an integrated media campaign for Cotton Incorporated, one that also includes print, the Internet and sales promotions. In support of the print advertising, an aggressive schedule in more than 15 lifestyle, home and fashion magazines is planned.

Cotton Incorporated's total advertising budget for 2004 is more than $20 million.

Cotton Incorporated named DDB as its new advertising agency in November 2003, after an extensive three-month review. DDB replaced Ogilvy & Mather/New York, which served as Cotton Incorporated's agency of record for more than 30 years.
