This Saturday's 25th anniversary celebration of the movie "Animal House" in Cottage Grove Cottage Grove, village (1990 pop. 22,935), Washington co., SE Minn., near the St. Croix River; inc. 1965. "It's just a fun way to celebrate the unique film history that Cottage Grove has," said Debbie Williamson-Smith, tourism and film marketing manager for the Convention & Visitors Association of Lane County.

One highlight of Saturday's event will be a re-enactment of the parade scene in "Animal House," which was filmed in downtown Cottage Grove. The parade, which serves as the backdrop for the film's finale, will be restaged (without the "Deathmobile" and ensuing en·sue

Many of the local extras who appeared in "Animal House" will be at Saturday's celebration. Katherine Wilson the film's location manager and extras casting director, also will make an appearance. She chose many of the local people and places that are featured in the film.

Saturday's anniversary celebration culminates in a toga party. 10:30 a.m. - Animal House Lookalike and Toga Contest, Cottage Grove Community Center, Gibbs and Eighth streets. Cottage Grove

2 p.m. - "Animal House" screening, Cottage Grove High, 1000 Taylor St.
