Michael G. Daniels, a former vice president of quality for the Company's USA division, has been named Vice President - Six Sigma Quality, reporting directly to President and Chief Executive Officer, Frank E. Weise III.

"Achievement of Six Sigma is a major strategic thrust for our Company. Our commitment to full-time resources to build and sustain a global organizational foundation for Six Sigma is clear. This appointment reinforces our drive for sustained levels of excellence in performance."

Under the leadership of Daniels, Cott has already graduated 44 employees as "Black Belts", who are trained to a high level of proficiency in the application of the Six Sigma methodology. Cott has taken a step beyond by including suppliers and customers in its Six Sigma training program.

"Since joining Cott, Mike has championed the deployment of the Six Sigma methodology in both the US and Canadian operations; it is now time to take Six Sigma beyond operations and turn it into a way of living throughout the rest of the Cott World," added Weise.

Prior to joining Cott in 1999, Daniels held the position of corporate director, quality at Magneteck, Inc., and before that as director, total quality in ASEA Brown Boveri. Daniels is a "Master Black Belt" under the Six Sigma philosophy and holds a Master's Degree master's degree
