for about $135 million in a deal expected to lift earnings next year.
Buying up soft-drink maker Macaw significantly expands its business in
Britain Britain (brĭt`ən), alternate term for Great Britain, comprised of England, Scotland, and Wales. Often used synonymously with the United Kingdom, the name Britain is derived from Britannia, and should boost annual sales by about $100 million, Cott said,
adding that the deal should be neutral to earnings this year but
accretive in 2006. Toronto-based Cott said it would finance the
acquisition using about $150 million from its credit facility, which was
increased to $225 million from $100 million in connection with the
transaction.
