OAKLAND, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 17, 2001

) announced today the promotion of John Luttrell, 46, to Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, replacing John Hoffner, who will be leaving to join Jack-in-the-Box as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Luttrell has been with Cost Plus as Vice President, Controller since May of 2000. Prior to joining Cost Plus, Mr. Luttrell was Vice President, Controller at Bugle Boy Bugle Boy is a brand of pants popular in the 1980s founded by Dr. William Mow in 1977. It declared bankruptcy in 2001.

Bugle Boy featured men's and boys' clothing, often with a denim theme.
