Cosmoz.com Acquires iTrack Online Auction Monitoring Service: Names Dave Taylor CTO and Susan M. Cooney Vice President of Marketing.

 BB:CMOZ), a leading aggregator of niche and unique technology-based Web properties, today announced the acquisition of privately held online auction monitoring leader iTrack, Inc. in an all stock transaction.

iTrack (www.itrack.com) lets users track auctions for free, helping alleviate the complexity of finding the auction items they seek online. iTrack delivers auction-monitoring results via email on ten of the top Web auction sites.

These include Amazon.com Auctions, Auction Universe, boxLot Online Auctions, Gold's Auctions, Haggle Online (part of the Go2Net Network), OnSale, UBid, Xoom Auctions, Yahoo! Auctions, and ZDNet Auctions.

As part of the agreement, Cosmoz.com also strengthened its management team by adding two members from the iTrack founding team. iTrack president and chief technology officer (CTO (Chief Technical Officer) The executive responsible for the technical direction of an organization. See CIO and salary survey. ) Dave Taylor will serve as the new Cosmoz.com CTO, while iTrack marketing vice president Susan M. Cooney will become vice president of marketing at Cosmoz.com.

They will both report directly to Cosmoz.com founder, chairman and chief executive officer Wilfred Shaw.

Taylor was also founder and president of Intuitive Systems and The Internet Mall, now ShopNow.com (Nasdaq:SPNW). He has been involved with the Internet since 1980. A frequent speaker at Internet industry events, Taylor holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of California The University of California has a combined student body of more than 191,000 students, over 1,340,000 living alumni, and a combined systemwide and campus endowment of just over $7.3 billion (8th largest in the United States).  San Diego and a master's in educational computing from Purdue University.
