Cortex Biochem Signs Distribution Agreement for Vita to Market MagaZorb(R) Nucleic Acid Isolation Kits in Japan.

SAN LEANDRO, Calif. -- Cortex Biochem(TM), Inc., a global leader in developing magnetic particle technology and products used in genomic research and clinical diagnostics, has announced expansion of its channel partner program via a distribution partnership with Vita, Inc. of Chiba, Japan.

Under the distribution agreement, Vita will promote, market, and sell Cortex Biochem MagaZorb(R) Nucleic Acid nucleic acid, any of a group of organic substances found in the chromosomes of living cells and viruses that play a central role in the storage and replication of hereditary information and in the expression of this information through protein synthesis.  Isolation Kits and associated reagents, and Cortex Magnetic Separation and Immunoreagent products, in Japan. Vita, a leading value-added distributor, will develop the large volume OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) The rebranding of equipment and selling it. The term initially referred to the company that made the products (the "original" manufacturer), but eventually became widely used to refer to the organization that buys the products and  and direct sales sectors of Cortex business.

"We're excited to partner with Vita to increase the availability of Cortex Biochem products in Japan," said Dr. Matt Pourfarzaneh, Cortex Biochem president and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. . "We appointed Vita for their ability to deliver advanced biotechnology products and excellent technical support and service."

Earlier this year, Cortex Biochem received a U.S. patent for the MagaZorb(R) Nucleic Acid (DNA/RNA) Isolation and Purification System, which provides the core technology for MagaZorb(R) products. The system provides a single process for isolating nucleic acids Nucleic acids
