The award, the highest technical honor bestowed by the division, was presented at the TAPPI Corrugated Packaging Conference, September 26-27, 2005 in Las Vegas. [ILLUSTRATION OMITTED] Shultz began his career in 1965 as a design engineer for Reading Industrial Equipment. He joined Beacon Container in 1974 and has served as plant engineer, sales service manager, general manager and director of quality over the past thirty one years. His areas of expertise include roll stock storage, adhesive systems, singlefacer, doublefacer, dry end, conveyors, unitizers, flexo folder-gluer, diecutting, printing, management and HR, sales and marketing, maintenance, raw materials, quality and testing, process control, ISO (1) See ISO speed. The U.S. member body is ANSI. 9000, total quality management, corrugated shipping containers; and package performance testing. Shultz has been a TAPPI member since 1986, and has been active in the Process Control and Quality Assurance Committee. He served as that committee's chair from 2001 through 2003. In addition, he has served on the Corrugated Board Technical Service Committee, the Fiberboard fi·ber·board n.
