Corrigent to Present at OFC/NFOEC Telecom Conference; Introducing New Features Available on the CM-100 Product Line.

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Corrigent Systems, a leading provider of packet-ADM (Add Drop Multiplexer) for next-generation transport networks, today announced participation schedule in several presentations with leading carriers in the upcoming OFC/NFOEC conference in Anaheim, California, as well as new features now available on its CM-100 product line.

In OFC/NFOEC Corrigent is participating and presenting in the following events:

--Corrigent Systems is chairing a panel together with panelists from KDDI, Wiltel and SBC on the evolution of the transport network from legacy protocols toward data-aware transport. The panel will explore case studies of introducing multi-service data-awareness into next generation optical transport networks. --On the same day Corrigent Systems will present a comparison of different Layer-2 protection mechanisms that can be used in data-aware transport networks. This work leverages Corrigent's field experience with widescale deployments of RPR metro networks. --Corrigent's solution is covered in a paper presented at the conference by KDDI, on results of a field trial of 10Gbps Resilient Packet Rings for next-generation multi-service metropolitan area networks.

Corrigent is also introducing new features available on the CM-100 in OFC/NFOEC. One of the key features on Corrigent's product line is the ability to turn up services between RPR-based networks across a third-party IP/MPLS backbone, using MPLS signaling protocols. The newly released functionality now enables carriers that maintain a SONET/SDH core network, to benefit from the same instant provisioning capabilities, and revolutionize today's lengthy and cumbersome circuit provisioning process. The new MPLS functionality is now generally available on a OC-48/STM16 Hub Interface Module for the CM-100 product line. Other features now available on the CM-100 are enhanced monitoring and OAM capabilities for Ethernet and TDM services and interfaces.
